My name is Jonathan Small, Doctor of Physical Therapy. I am a proud husband and father of two. My wife and I met 15 years ago and have been married 10 years this coming October. We have two children; a 5-year-old son and a 2-year-old daughter. We currently reside in Newport, NY. My wife and I were both raised in the Central NY area and feel a great commitment to this community.
I have had the ability to practice on the west cost for several years where I had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of ages and abilities. During my time there, I had the opportunity to be the leader of the Physical Therapy Department at a Spine Institute, responsible for handling some of the most challenging case with great outcomes.
I have been an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) since 2012, and I am currently the Director of the Central Distract of the New York Physical Therapy Association (NYPTA) (2016-current). Through these organizations, I am up to speed with current policy and procedures and am responsible for improving the quality of service that physical therapist offer, not only in New York, but nationwide. I have also had many opportunities to present to physicians in the community about various topics regarding patient/client health and prevention. I have a strong passion for physical therapy and being able to help people with acute and chronic conditions. I look forward to enhancing patients’ lives every day.
I am excited for the opportunity to serve our community, not only as clinician, but to participate in many local events for the wellness of others.
